River Mist Horse Farm is a 33 acre farm located on the Holston River in Church Hill, TN. When we moved here in 2005, we brought 5 gaited horses with us. Since that time, we added many wonderful miniature horses out of very nice bloodlines and had some precious experiences breeding and raising them. However, during that time, our circumstances changed, which caused us to stop breeding the minis and to slowly downsize our herd. We still have 4 miniature arabs with fabulous pedigrees, that are for sale. All of our arab minis are double registered. We also have 4 pure Falabella miniatures, which could be for sale to the right farm. The mares are triple registered, and the stallion is double registered.
A few years ago, we discovered the Gypsy breed of horses and eventually purchased our first beautiful black and white Gypsy mare: Gypsy Elite Sandi-Kay. Her wonderful temperament and trainability caused us to fall in love with the breed. One led to two, which eventually led to our current herd of 6 Gypsy Horses! We have 3 mares, one filly, one stallion, and one gelding. All of them come out of great Gypsy bloodlines. Our goal is to breed for “proper” Gypsy horses. We will only have a few foals to offer each year so that we can focus on quality, excellence, and lots of hands on training. We have two amazing foals on the way, due to arrive in April and June of 2012. The first to arrive will be out of our Sandi-Kay and by the amazing Stallion, Bees Knees. The other foal will be out of our beautiful tri-colored mare Rosie, and by our buckskin stallion, Lake Ridge Shandy Blackfeathers (it will be his first). We are expecting fabulous foals!
